Ministries

Leadership
Zion Lutheran follows the model for ELCA congregations with a Council as our leadership board, guiding the mission and ministry of the congregation. Each member serves on one of our ministry teams which include: Finance, Worship & Music, Faith Formation, Evangelism, Caring Ministry, Mutual Ministry, Stewardship, Facilities, & ZLCW.  See the "Staff" page for information about our church staff.

Caring Ministry

Our mission is grounded in the tradition of the early Christian Church which promotes health, healing and care for all God’s people. To that end, we will lead the congregation’s efforts to address the health and wellbeing of people within the congregation, community, and world at-large.

Stephen Ministry
Stephen Ministry congregations equip and empower lay caregivers to provide high-quality, confidential, Christ-centered care to people who are hurting.

Evangelism
Our mission is to lead this congregation in witnessing to the gospel of Jesus Christ to people who are not active members of a Christian congregation; to support the faith development of members and increase the active membership of this congregation.

ZLCW

As a community of women created in the image of God, called to discipleship in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to grow in faith, affirm our gifts, support one another in our callings, engage in ministry and action, and promote healing and wholeness in the church, the society and the world.
